Overviewof Cancer

What is cancer?

Cancer is a group of diseases in which the body's cells begin to divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. There are more than 100 different types of cancer, and each requires a specific diagnostic and therapeutic approach.

Cancer staging

Staging is the process of determining how far cancer has spread in the body. It is essential for selecting the most appropriate treatment. The most widely used system is TNM (Tumor, Nodes, Metastasis), which classifies cancer into stages I through IV.

Modern diagnostic methods

Cancer diagnosis has advanced significantly. In addition to traditional tissue biopsy, we now have liquid biopsy (blood tests that detect cancer-related genetic material), advanced imaging techniques like PET-CT, and molecular testing that allows treatment personalization.
